Hello. You can get by with 8GB, but your options will be limited. You'll have to start with DVD Shrink to create an ISO that is around 4.3GB. If you start with say DVD Decrypter it will put the whole uncompressed movie to your HDD at around 8GB, so you wouldn't be able to do anything else with it.
